When CAM establishes bases in other countries, we feel the need to have a church nearby that shares our beliefs. These churches not only provide places of worship where CAM workers can worship, but also open spiritual opportunities in the community. Through the Church Planting program, CAM provides financial support to congregations in Haiti, Romania, and Liberia. Here is a brief overview of each of the churches we support.
Please pray
Please pray for the churches in these communities. As everywhere, Satan is busy and attempts to distract churches from the way of Jesus. These small congregations of believers are no exception. But as people surrender themselves to God, His Word can go forth with power.
La Source Mennonite Church, Haiti
Oppressive witchcraft is common in Haiti, but God is at work, drawing people to Himself. A small congregation in La Source provides a place of discipleship and fellowship for Haitian believers and our staff. The church in La Source has also started an outreach church in the nearby village of Nan Carre.
Light Mennonite Church, Liberia
Light Mennonite Church shines the light of Jesus in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, a place of tremendous physical and spiritual poverty. This church began in 2000 and has now started a sister congregation, Hope Mennonite Church.
Suceava Mennonite Church, Romania
CAM’s distribution of huge amounts of Christian literature in Romania over the years has caused many Romanians to seek a Biblical fellowship. Suceava Mennonite Church is a place for them to see and experience the body of Christ living out the teachings they read about in books and periodicals distributed throughout Romania.
