On February 15, tornado sirens in Damascus, Georgia, howled as Jack* and Margie hurried into their closet. Seconds later, as Jack shut the door behind him, the tornado reduced their house to a pile of rubble. Miraculously, they were saved and unscathed. In this picture Jack and Margie stand where the closet had been.
Rapid Response volunteers responded to the tornado destruction in Jack and Margie’s area. Armed with cleanup tools and Christ’s compassion, they worked to restore hope by clearing downed trees and piles of rubble.
