For many people in Liberia and Nicaragua, waking up to rain-soaked clothes and bedding isn’t uncommon during the rainy season. In cold-climate countries, many families face winter without sufficient shelter, leaving them exposed to low temperatures and bitter winds. Sometimes our staff members encounter situations like a handicapped person living alone in deplorable situations or an elderly woman calling a collapsing house “home.” Your gift can help provide these people with a more stable, secure house. Funds may be used toward purchasing, building, or repairing a house. This program meets critical needs in places where homes were destroyed by war or natural disasters. We plan to use some funds to repair or rebuild war-damaged homes in Ukraine.
The average cost for a warm-climate house is $4,600 and the average cost for a cold-climate house is $8,000.
