Venezuela Economic Crisis

Venezuela Economic Crisis

The Venezuela economic crisis continues, as refugees stream across the border into Colombia in search of a better future. Due to inflation, Venezuelan money has almost no purchasing power.

CAM is taking this opportunity to show the love of Jesus by providing hot meals for Venezuelan refugees in Colombia. We are also providing large amounts of Christian literature inside Venezuela. Pray that this food and literature would bring courage and hope to Venezuelans who are disheartened and searching.

Yemen Project Update

Yemen Project

CAM continues to provide desperately needed aid for those suffering from the war in Yemen. Here is a note of thanks from one of the many recipients of aid provided through our ongoing Yemen project:

“I had a job in the city and my situation was relatively good. Then I lost four family members when the war intensified in the region where I lived. Our houses were mercilessly shelled by mortars and what remained of them was targeted by warplanes. We safely exited the conflict zone.

The aid that you gave us is all that I have been living on. I warmly thank you and pray to God to bless all those who are working in your organization, both donors and distributors.”

Facts about the situation in Yemen

The conflict has lasted almost 4 years.

The war in Yemen has killed more than 60,000 people.

An estimated 85,000 children have died from malnutrition.

13.3 million people are in acute need of food.

In a recent 2-month period, Yemeni currency lost 30% of its value.

Thank you, supporters, for enabling us to meet needs in this midst of this horrific crisis.

Sharing God’s Love with Crisis Victims

Victims

Fathers struggle to supply food in the midst of famine. Innocent victims flee their war-torn homes, often witnessing family members being killed. Poverty-stricken families reel in the wake of floods, tsunamis, and other natural disasters. Crises seem to have no end! But we should not be surprised since Jesus predicted this in Matthew 24:6-8.

In 2018, supporters’ contributions to International Crisis enabled us to help Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, refugees in the Middle East, flood victims in several Asian countries, and people affected by the economic crisis in Venezuela. We also worked in numerous other crisis-stricken countries.

As we step into 2019, we plan to continue ongoing projects in Yemen, Bangladesh, and the Middle East, as well as assist with unexpected crises as the Lord leads. If you wish to support our International Crisis program, your help will be a blessing!
